Formally the School Sisters of Notre Dame Convent in Elm Grove, this site transformed into Caroline Heights, a luxury apartment complex with over 235 apartments across multiple buildings. Caroline Heights combines modern design while paying homage to the original historic charm of the late 1800s convent building in Notre Dame Hall and Maria Hall, as the original convent building is on the National Register of Historical Places (2011.) The apartments within these halls preserve the terrazzo and hardwood flooring and stained glass windows, while the exterior of the building retains the stepped gables and brick facade.
The apartments offer modern day amenities, including a 2-story clubhouse, fitness center, and gold simulator. The buildings form a square around a central green space, with ample parking and a pool around it’s edge.
